Syrian Army Makes Fresh Advances against Terrorists in Syria’s Badiyeh

 

The Syrian Army troops continued their operation against ISIL in Eastern Homs and recaptured more positions in Badiyeh (desert), inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The army units stormed ISIL’s defense lines in Eastern Homs and took back Arak triangle and region and hills overlooking them in Syria’s Badiyeh.

The army forces also drove ISIL out of the third power plan in the region.

In the meantime, the army soldiers fended off ISIL’s heavy attack to retake lost regions in Badiyeh, killing or wounding a large number of militants and forcing their remaining pockets to retreat from the battlefield.

ISIL’s military hardware also sustained major damage in the clashes.

In relevant developments in the province on Tuesday, the army forces extended the range of their advances in Eastern Homs, seizing back control of a 100-sq/km area.

The Syrian soldiers regained control of the area in the Southern and Northeastern parts of Palmyra (Tadmur) after heavy clashes with the ISIL terrorists in Palmyra desert in Eastern Homs.

The army units inflicted heavy tolls on the ISIL terrorists during the operations and destroyed some of their military vehicles.

Meantime, the army forces won back control of a number of mountains overlooking Arak region.
