Syrian Army Makes Fresh Gains against Terrorists in Eastern Damascus

 

The Syrian Army troops continued their anti-terrorism operation in Eastern Ghouta and managed to drive Jeish al-Islam terrorists out of another key town in the region.

The army troops engaged in a tough battle with terrorists in Eastern Ghouta and captured the town of Hawsh al-Dawahra.

A military source, meantime, said that after taking control over Hawsh al-Dawahra, the army men stormed terrorists’ defense lines in the Western farms of the newly-freed town towards al-Bakiyeh-Duoma, taking control over nine farms.

Over 16 terrorists were killed and several more were wounded in the army’s operation.

In a relevant development on Wednesday, the army troops carried out a fresh round of anti-terrorism operation in the Central part of Damascus province, recapturing a strategic hill near al-Dhumayr military airport.

The army soldiers stormed ISIL’s defense lines South-East of al-Dhumayr airbase and pushed the terrorists back from Tal (hill) al-Abd, killing and wounding several militants.
