Syrian Army Makes Fresh Gains in Hama

The Syrian Army troops continued to storm the defense lines of the Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in Northern Hama and managed to push the terrorists back from more territories.

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra in Taybat al-Imam region, winning back control over al-Qaban checkpoint.

In the meantime, the Syrian Air Force launched heavy airstrikes on the positions and movements of the terrorists in the towns of Taybat al-Imam and al-Latamina, killing or wounding a number of militants and destroying their equipment and vehicles.

The army men, meanwhile, engaged in heavy fighting with Al-Nusra in areas near the town of Ma’ardes and managed to kill all the 30 members of a terrorist group in clashes under the Ma’ardes bridge, while other units of the army targeted and destroyed a vehicle carrying militants on Ma’ardes-Souran road.

Relevant reports said on Wednesday that the army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists and seized control over the Batish region where one of the defense lines of the terrorists in Halfaya town was positioned.

The army men also drove the terrorists out of Tarabi’e settlement near Halfaya. Early battlefield reports said the terrorists suffered heavy casualties in the army advances.

A military source reported that terrorists started to leave Halfaya as soon as the army reached the entrance of the town and won control over the town’s checkpoints.
