The Syrian army forces continued advancing in Tadmur region on Thursday, and regained control of regions 4km away from the Central city.

The Syrian army and popular forces cleaned up a number of villages and farms near Tadmur from terrorists and reached 4km away from the Western side of the city in Homs province last night.

Advancing continues from the Western side of the city and many ISIL terrorists have been obliged to escape to inside Tadmur city for the fear of the Syrian army’s surprising attacks.

Also on Tuesday, Syrian Kurdish fighters took more than 10 villages North of Raqqa city from the ISIL terrorists.

At least 78 ISIL terrorists were killed since Sunday night, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.

But, on Tuesday, the terrorist group was still in control of Ain Issa, the Britain-based Observatory said. The town, 50 km (30 miles) North of Raqqa city, was seized by ISIL terrorists from the Kurdish YPG forces in an attack on Monday.

The Observatory said YPG forces regained control of 11 villages Northeast of Ain Issa.

The YPG has made significant gains against ISIL in Raqqa province in recent weeks, seizing Tel Abyad at the Turkish border on June 15 before advancing South to Ain Issa.

The YPG captured Ain Issa on June 23.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 210,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.

Over 3.8 million Syrians have left their country since the beginning of the crisis. According to reports, more than seven million Syrians have become internally displaced.
