The Syrian Army troops, backed up by the county’s Air Force and artillery units, stormed the positions of al-Nusra Front and its allies in the mountainous region of Northeastern Lattakia and captured more strategic heights.

The Syrian army men struck strongholds of al-Nusra Front and its ally terrorist of al-Turkistani near the strategic town of Kabani and drove the militants back from more territories, including the height 1112 and al-Zuweiqat region.

The terrorist groups left behind at least 35 members dead or wounded and fled the battlefield.

The Syrian fighter jets and artillery units played very crucial role in the army’s fresh advances in the province.

The 1112 height overlooks the town of Kabani bordering Idlib province.

Kabani is the last stronghold of terrorists in Lattakia and is an important gate to Idlib province, specially the key city of Jisr al-Shughour.

Earlier this week, the Syrian army soldiers and popular forces pushed back the terrorist groups from more positions in Northeastern Lattakia and took control over a key village in the mountainous region.

The Syrian army men and the National Defense Forces struck the strongholds of the Free Syrian Arm and al-Nusra Front and captured the village of Ein Issa, which also claimed the lives of several militants.
