Syrian Army Pushing Back Rebels in Parts of Quneitra Province

Scores of military were killed in clashes with the Syrian army in the Southwestern province of Quneitra.

The sources said that the army men stormed the rebels’ strongholds in the nearby fighting areas of the villages of Um Batina, Nabe’ al-Sakhr, Rasm al-Shouli and al-Hamidiyeh in the province, and pushed the militants back from their positions.

On Thursday, the sources said that the strongholds of al-Nusra Front, so-called Fajr al-Islam Brigade and Al-Furqan Brigades terrorist groups in the village of al-Braiqa in Quneitra were massively targeted by the army men.

The army’s artillery also targeted hideouts of terrorists in al-Ajraf and Um batneih in Quneitra city’s Eastern countryside, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles and munitions.
