Syrian Army Repels ISIL’s Heavy Offensives in Badiyeh of Palmyra

 

The Syrian Army troops, backed up by the country’s Air Force, fended off a number of attacks by the ISIL in Badiyeh (desert) of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) in Eastern Homs, inflicting major losses on the terrorists in the last 24 hours.

The army men fended off ISIL’s attacks in Humeimeh region, near T2 Oil Pumping Station, al-Wa’ab Dam, al-Mo’ayzeliyeh, near Awiraz Dam and East of T3 Oil Pumping Station in Eastern Badiyeh (desert) of Homs.

The army men inflicted heavy casualties on the terrorists and forced their remaining pockets to retreat.

In the meantime, the army aircraft pounded ISIL’s movements and positions in Eastern Badiyeh of Homs, destroying several vehicles and a large volume of military equipment.

Also on Monday, the army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL in a region between T2 Pumping Station in Southwestern Deir Ezzur and T3 Station in Eastern Homs, killing or wounding a number of terrorists.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery and missile units and aircraft pounded ISIL’s positions and movements in Eastern Homs’ desert.

Also, a field source reported that several vehicles were destroyed and a number of terrorists were killed in Syrian air raid on ISIL’s convoy near T2 Station.

Meanwhile, the army’s engineering units discovered a field hospital with several operation rooms, medical devices and medicines in a mop-up operation in the town of Taldou in Northern Homs.
