Syrian Army Retakes Control of Key Points of Al-Ameriya Village in Aleppo

The Syrian army and popular troops seized back control of several important regions in al-Ameriya village in Aleppo city country, triggering intense clashes between the army and Fatah al-Halab and al-Jabha al-Shamiya, a military source said on Wednesday.

“The army units, supported by the Syrian and Russian air forces, won back control of al-Zarq building and the buildings adjacent to human resources management organization in the Southwestern parts of al-Ameriya,” the source said.

He added that the Syrian forces’ achievement led to severe clashes between the army and the terrorists with the latter sustaining heavy toll and damages.

Military sources said on Tuesday that the Syrian army soldiers and popular forces continued their advances in Southern Aleppo, and are now very close to seizing back the key town of Khan Touman.

“Syrian government forces have significantly advanced against militants in regions near Khan Touman, including Tal al-Asfar and two strategic villages of Ma’arata and al-Alam,” the sources said.

“In the meantime, the Syrian soldiers have intensified their assault on the positions of terrorists in Khan Touman and have cut off all the supply routes to the terrorists. Government forces are now in very good military situation in Khan Touman battlefield and are at the gates of the city,” they added.
