Syrian Army tears apart Al-Qaeda convoy in brilliant tank hunter raid

Syrian Arab Army anti-tank teams operating in the southern countryside of Aleppo province have carried out a brilliant raid against the Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda), wreaking havoc on a convoy belonging to the terrorist faction.

According to military-affiliated sources, Syrian Army tank hunter teams forayed beyond into jihadist territory to the southwest of the strategic town of Khanassir today in order to seek out and destroy enemy vehicle assets.

Not long after setting up their positions near the Ramleh to Rasm al-Siyala road, the Syrian Army anti-tank teams spotted and attacked a Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham convoy made up of technicals.

In the resulting engagement, Syrian Army tank hunters knocked out three pickups, two of which were armed with heavy machine guns, killing more than 10 jihadists and wounding at least another ten.

This raid comes at a time when southern Aleppo’s frontlines have been in a constant state of flux as Syrian pro-government forces and terrorist-led militias fight for control of key settlements throughout the region.
