Syrian Army: the terrorism “will vanish” on the gates of Damascus

A Syrian military official source has said that Syrian Arab Army “will not allow any of the terrorists to desecrate the land of Damascus that will remain safe”.

al-Watan newspaper has quoted of the source as saying: we have repeatedly warned the armed groups by all available means that any approach toward Damascus means inevitable death for them and their leaders, though there is infiltration attempts that happens on many axes and often that all the infiltrators or the majority and the rest flee.

The source gas added that “the army with its all formations is ready to defend Damascus that was and never will be desecrated by any of the terrorists”.

The source has mocked the threats about the capital evacuation and said: Damascus is safe and it will remain and the determination of thousands of Home defenders that guard it as well as active population and residents’ determination that are present with the Army and the Security Forces in each neighborhood and street of Damascus for support and help in the elimination of any terrorist that is hiding among the safes in the capital.

On the fall of the mortar shells in different regions populated, the source has said: unfortunately several mortar shells have fallen on innocent civilians and the source of it from regions deep in Damascus, adding: in several cases a site has been monitored of launching missiles and has been destroyed immediately, but in other cases it is difficult to detect directly the firing spot but the army is working day and night to prevent the repetition of such terrorist acts.

The source has assured residents of the capital and stressed that “Damascus is safe and will remain so and there is no reason to panic for the Home protectors in their positions and they have enough potential and experience, courage and bravery to defeat terrorism and terrorists”.
