Syrian Army thwarts jihadist attack on northern Latakia

For the third-day in a row, the jihadist rebels in northern Latakia attacked the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions near the key town of Kinsibba.

Led by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, the jihadist rebels fired several rockets and artillery shells towards the Syrian Arab Army’s positions at the northern axis of Kinsibba.

Following this barrage of missiles and artillery shells, a group of jihadist rebels were spotted by the Syrian Arab Army making their way towards their front-lines at Kinsibba.

According to a military report from Latakia, the Syrian Arab Army was able to thwart the jihadist infiltration attempt before any damage could be done to their defenses.

In response to this attack by the jihadist rebels, the Syrian Arab Army unleashed a barrage of missiles and artillery shells towards Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions.

The Syrian Army’s attack would last for several minutes before they would halt their hostilities earlier this morning.
