Syrian Army to Dispatch More Troops to Deir Ezzur Battlefields

The Syrian Army is preparing a large number of fresh soldiers to send them to the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur to intensify battle against ISIL, military sources said on Saturday.

The sources said that the Syrian army reinforcements deployed in Eastern Damascus will be transferred to the battlefields in Deir Ezzur to intensify fight against ISIL.

The soldiers will land at the 137th military base in the Southern countryside of the city in a heliborne operation.

Reports from Syria also said that once the de-escalation zones plan comes into force, a large number of army soldiers in the zones will be sent to fight against terrorists in other provinces.

The Arabic-language desk of Sputnik quoted the Russian Kommersant daily as saying on Thursday that four zones of de-escalation would be created in Idlib province, Northern Homs, Eastern Ghouta and Southern Syria.

It added that based on the plan the zones would be emptied of weapons as there would be a tight ban on the use of firearms in these zones.

The paper went on to say that the four zones would be open to humanitarian organizations, adding that construction operation of civil infrastructures would start in the zones.

The paper added that according to the plan, several checkpoints would be erected at the borderlines of these four zones for inspection to ease transfer of civilians and humanitarian aids.

The inspection and checking points would operate under the supervision and guarding of the foreign military forces guaranteed by Russia, Turkey and Iran.
