Syrian Army troops begin moving from Deir Ezzor to Hama for Idlib offensive

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has begun moving troops from eastern Syria to the province of Hama, a military source said.

According to the military source, many units have begun leaving the Deir Ezzor Governorate for the northern countryside of Hama.

In particular, the troops leaving Deir Ezzor are heading to the Ma’an front in northern Hama; this area has a large jihadist presence and it is located along the Idlib-Hama Highway (M-5).

The primary objective for these troops will be to recapture the town of Abu Dali, which is located at an important crossroad.

Once Abu Dali is retaken, the Syrian Army will make their push into the southeastern countryside of Idlib, where they will attempt to capture the strategic Abu Dhuhour Military Airport.
