The Syrian forces have had good records of hitting the militants’ gathering hard in the recent weeks, including recapturing of Sheikh Meskeen.

On Friday, reports from Dara’a said terrorists are pinned down behind their defense lines North of the province after sustaining large casualties in a fresh round of attacks by the Syrian army and popular forces.

“The Syrian army troops and the country’s National Defense Forces (NDF) raided the militants’ centers in the Northeastern part of Athman town, which claimed the lives of many terrorists and destroyed their military vehicles,” the sources said.

“The pro-government forces’ attacks were so heavy that did not permit the militant groups to even think about counter-attack. They could not leave their trenches to transfer the injured members to second defense lines,” the sources added.
