“Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey’s Erdogan must be asked whether they have quenched their thirst for Syrian blood yet,” he added.

On another note, al-Zoubi reaffirmed that the Syrian delegation does not have a problem regarding any topic on the table, “but if there is anybody who thinks of the possibility of the so-called stepping down of President al-Assad, then they are living in a fantasy world.”

In a statement to reporters in Geneva on Sunday, Shaaban asserted that Syria’s delegation will direct the compass (of discussion) towards priorities which are stopping the sufferings, ending terrorism and getting rid of the criminal mercenaries who came from all over the world to our country, and after that there is no veto on any issue to discuss on the table that serves the interests of the Syrians and the unity of Syria.

Dr. Shaaban added “Geneva 2 Conference is first and foremost meant to stop terrorism from which the Syrian people have been suffering, stopping the shedding of the Syrian blood, restoring security and stability to Syria and having all establishments back to work, and then it is up to the Syrians to decide upon the political track they want,” pointing out that the Geneva 1 Communique provides for creating a suitable environment for launching the political process.

She said that Syria’s official delegation came to Geneva for discussing the issue of Syria and its future with the aim of restoring safety and security to it, adding “We didn’t notice seriousness from the coalition delegation called “opposition” as they set certain areas without other for delivering aid to it.”

Shaaban pointed out that Syria’s official delegation didn’t come to Geneva to deliver relief to a certain area, but to restore security and safety to all Syria and discuss the security and humanitarian issues, and then to discuss the political issue, wondering how could aid be delivered to an area where terrorists are wreaking havoc and killing and displacing people.

The Geneva 2 conference began on January 22 in Montreux, Switzerland. It has been under way up-to -date to find a political solution to the crisis in the Arab country.
