Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister: Palestine will remain Arab nation’s central issue

Deputy-FM-Faisal-MikdadDeputy Foreign Minister Fayssal Mikdad stressed that the Palestinian issue will always remain the Arab nation’s central issue, pointing out that the developments in the region and its countries reflect the continuation of the west’s attempts to draw attention from the main enemy which is Israel.
Mikdad stressed in an article published in the Lebanese al-Binaa daily under the title of “Palestine our Issue and Compass” that the terrorism overrunning in the region is part of the terrorism exercised by Israel either directly or indirectly through its forces, spies, and agents, with its only goal being destroying the Arab civilization.
“The declared alliance between the armed terrorist groups in Syria and Israel has become clear,” he said, adding that this is carried out in coordination with the U.S. and Western intelligence agencies.
Mikdad denounced the state terrorism carried out by the Israeli occupation, which employs immoral means to maintain itself no matter the cost, with Israel being responsible for most problems in the region, including terrorism, adding that it’s no mere coincidence that Israel waged its barbaric aggression on Gaza while the hordes of ISIS rampaged in northern Iraq.
He said that the war waged by ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra, and other terrorist organizations against the Syrian government is due to the Syrian support for the Palestinian cause, stressing that the terrorism affecting Syria and Iraq is directly linked to what is happening in Palestine.
Mikdad noted that Al Qaeda was born and raised under the care of the United States, and that Saudi Arabia is the loyal servant of Washington that carries out its policies, recalling that Al Qaeda was first used when it was created by the Saudi rulers against the Soviet presence in Afghanistan.
The Deputy Foreign Minister also denounced the Arab diplomats who normalized relations with the Israeli entity at the United Nations, criticizing the rulers of the Arab Gulf states who are complicit in shedding the blood of Palestinian, Syrian, Egyptian, and Libyan civilians and who waste their nations’ resources in service of the Arab world’s enemies.
