Syrian dialogue and reforms on track

Syrian ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdul Karim Ali, on Monday avowed President Assad-led reforms and dialogue were on track to foil designed plot against Syria.

The ambassador had been today to Ain-el-Tineh for a meeting with House Speaker, Nabih Berri, over most recent developments and the Lebanese-Syrian fraternal ties.

The pair also hashed out their analysis and evaluation of the current situation on the local and regional levels.

In a related Syrian context, a delegation from the General Union of Palestinian Workers affirmed that Palestinian unions support Syria against the conspiracy targeting its security, stability and national stances in support of Arab causes, primarily restoring the Palestinian people’s rights.

During a visit to the General Federation of Trade Unions headquarters in Syria on Tuesday, members of the delegation said that the sanctions and pressure leveled against Syria, the attempts to interfere in its internal affairs and the media campaign constitute a desperate attempt at weakening it and assuming control of its independent decision-making.

They also voiced confidence in the Syrians’ ability to emerge from this crisis stronger and pursue the reform program launched by President Bashar al-Assad.

In the same context, members of delegations from Arab trade unions visiting the General Federation of Trade Unions affirmed their support for Syria and its people and workers in the face of the plot aiming to fragment the entire Arab region.

Members of the Arab delegations expressed rejection of foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs and undermining its sovereignty, stressing that freedom and public-based government don’t mean terrorist, murder and vandalism.

They also voiced surprise over the scale of media exaggeration, falsification and misdirection regarding the events in Syria by some satellite channels which have ill intentions for Syria’s people and leadership, affirming that they will relay the reality of the normal life and stability they witnessed firsthand in Syria.
