Syrian DM: Syrian Army and people will confront any military aggression

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Defense Minister Fahd Jasem al-Freij affirmed that criminal terrorists have deliberately used chemical weapons and killed women and innocent children to get more support from superpowers to blackout their defeat, mislead the public opinion and justify their continued crimes.

During a telephone call he received from his Iranian counterpart Hussein Dehghan, al-Freij stressed that the Syrian army and people are ready to confront any form of the military aggression on the country by superpowers, and they will decisively respond to the attack.

For his part, the Iranian Defense Minister said that the main loser in any war in the region is the side which starts it.

“Iran is following with accuracy and sensitivity the security developments in the region and the crisis in the friendly country of Syria,” Dehghan said, affirming the need for making use of the political and peaceful means to solve the security problems.

He underlined that the use of force and violence will only lead to escalating the crisis.
