Syrian Human Rights Network: Al-Midan Terrorist Bombing Flagrant Violation of Human Rights

The Syrian Human Rights Network considered that the terrorist attack which hit al-Midan neighborhood in Damascus constitutes a flagrant violation of human rights and the relevant international conventions.

The Network called upon the Human rights bodies, the Geneva –based Human Rights Council and the UN to work rapidly for fighting terrorism as stipulated by the UN Resolution No. 1373 which criminalizes terrorist activity and the provision or collection of funds for terrorist acts.

The Network said that the terrorist acts and incitement to armed violence in any part of the world pose a threat to the world security and peace and will yield catastrophic consequences.

The Network called upon the national and democratic powers to consolidate the national unity for the Syrian society to remain firm and coherent.
