Syrian-Iranian cultural ties strategic, Iran’s President’s Advisor says

Syria and Iran reviewed on Saturday the educational situation in Syria and the current circumstances going on the country.

Education Minister Hazwan al-Wazz and Iranian President’s Cultural Advisor Hossam Eddin Ashna met on the sidelines of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) held in the French capital, Paris.

Ashna stressed that the Iranian-Syrian relations are strategic, saying “Iran and Syria are brotherly countries bound by deep cultural, historical and religious ties”.

He added that his country will never forget Syria’s honorable stance in support of Iran against the unfair Western blockade, which is why Tehran is standing by the Syrian people under the difficult conditions they are going through.
