Syrian Military Forces Engage in Fierce Clashes with ISIL in Deir Ezzur

Syrian army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL along the Eastern wall of Deir Ezzur airbase, where the Takfiri group suffered a heavy death toll and its military hardware sustained major damage.

In the meantime, Syrian military forces attacked ISIL’s site in Panorama region, killing and wounding several terrorists.

In relevant developments in the province on Saturday, Syrian Army troops repelled four offensives of ISIL terrorists on their positions near Deir Ezzur airbase, killing and wounding tens of them.

The ISIL terrorists carried out four large-scale attacks to break through the government forces’ defense lines near Deir Ezzur airbase, but failed and retreated from the battlefield after sustaining dozens of casualties.

In the meantime, Syrian fighter jets pounded ISIL’s positions near the towns of al-Khariteh, Ayyash, Hawaej Ziyab on the Western side of Deir Ezzur and Huweija al-Sakar and al-Jafrah near Deir Ezzur Airbase.
