Syrian oil smuggled to Turkey, Iraq with US greenlight

Citing new satellite images, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said terrorist groups in the occupied regions of Syria smuggle Syrian oil to Turkey and Iraq with US’ direct support.

Images received from Russian communication drones and satellites indicate tankers belonging to terrorist groups in the eastern part of Euphrates River are used to smuggle Syria’s oil to Turkey and Iraq and the US has given them the greenlight to do so.

The News Agency said the terrorist leaders, particularly from Daesh and illegal forces in the regions, pocket the proceeds from smuggling oil.

Since the illegal formation of an international coalition in August 2016, the United States has been claiming to combat terrorism. It has, however, claimed the lives of civilians and wreaked havoc of Syria’s infrastructure.

Following the liberation of most areas in Deir Ezzur from Daesh, the Syrian army is doing its utmost to prevent oil smuggling so as to it can spend its revenues on rebuilding the country.

Since March 2011, Syria has been embroiled in a crisis backed by some Arab neighbors, western nations and the Zionist regime.

Over the last eight years, the presence of over 360,000 terrorists, affiliated to 103 terrorist groups from 120 countries in several areas in Syria, has razed the country to the ground, leaving vital infrastructure destroyed.

More than 70 percent of the Syrian territory has thus far been liberated from terrorists and efforts to free the rest are underway.
