Syrian People Protest Terrorist Attack in al-Midan Quarter in Main Squares

Huge masses of Syrian People on Friday gathered in the main squares in a number of cities and areas in the Syrian provinces to express condemnation of the terrorist bombing which took place in al-Midan neighborhood in Damascus and caused tens of deaths and injuries.

The participants chanted national anthems and slogans which glorify the sacrifices of the Syrian army to maintain the security, safety and integrity of the country.

They stressed that terrorist acts committed by the armed terrorist groups within the framework of implementation of foreign agendas will not deter Syria from its national position, but would rather increase its strength and steadfastness in the face of the US-zionist projects in the region.

Huge crowds of all ages streamed into Syrian Squares to express condemnation of the terrorist attack, demanding punishment of those who commit such crimes against civilians, army and law enforcement members and tamper with Syria’s security and national unity.

In Homs province, people of Sheen town and the neighboring villages and al-Zahra residents gathered at the main square, chanting slogans stressing the national unity and the need to face the plot targeting the country.

In Ras al-Ein city in Hasaka Province, crowds of people gathered at al-Bareed Square in condemnation of the terrorist act, raising banners in which they stressed their anger and condemnation of this crime.

In Tartous, crowds gathered before the Radio and TV Center to express condemnation of the terrorist act committed by the armed terrorist groups and to voice salutation to the souls of the martyrs.

In Aleppo, mass crowds gathered at Saadallah al-Jabiri Square to condemn the terrorist crime in al-Midan neighborhood, with the participants holding national flags and banners condemning the criminal act and calling for punishing the armed terrorist groups for their sabotage acts.

In Lattakia, citizens gathered at al-Zira’a Roundabout to express condemnation of the terrorist act, stressing their support to the reform program and rejection of foreign interference attempts.

People of Sweida Province held a sit-in in the city in condemnation of the coward terrorist act, with the participants stressing that the sides behind the attack have no religion or homeland and that they are perpetrating conspiring plots targeting Syria’s national and pan-Arab stances.

People of al-Mazra’a and the neighboring towns staged a sit-in in Sweida Countryside in condemnation of the terrorist attack and in salutation of the martyrs’ souls, affirming their support for the comprehensive reform program under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.

In Raqqa, crowds of citizens flocked to Adnan al-Maliki Street in the city to express condemnation of the terrorist act committed in al-Midan neighborhood in Damascus.

Participants in the gatherings said the terrorists choose Friday, the day of mercy and tolerance in order to assassinate this steadfast country and intimidate the Syrian people. They are a mere tools that implement what the West want them to do. They defame the Islam and Muslims.

The participants underlined that the Syrians will not be frightened by their despicable acts; rather they will challenge them and gather in squares every day to renew their support for the reform program and rejection of foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs.

They called on the Arab League observer mission to be objective and expose those terrorists who kill the Syrians every day, stressing the need for unifying ranks for facing the fierce attacks to which Syria is exposed.
