Syrian PM hails army’s accelerated victories to restore security

Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi stressed that the government is defending the homeland with all its means through its political, economic and social apparatuses, hailing the accelerated victories achieved by the army in confronting the armed terrorist groups in order to restore security to all the areas so as to start the stage of reconstruction.

During a meeting with members of the People’s Assembly from Daraa province, al-Halqi reiterated the readiness of the ministries and state institutions to provide services to citizens around the clock and face all emergency situations.

He stressed that the government’s first and foremost interest at this stage is to reduce the economic burden on the citizens.

He pointed out that the main goal of the meetings which the government holds with the MPs is to get directly acquainted with the local service and development situation to overcome the obstacles and bolster the positive points.

Premier al-Halqi said these activities by the government stem from its conviction in the principle of partnership between the legislative and executive authorities to join efforts to upgrade the service and economic situation in all the areas.

The Prime Minister referred during the meeting to the options that are being studied by the government to improve the living conditions of the citizens and secure the temporary residential centers and food baskets for the families affected by the terrorist groups’ acts.
