Syrian Soldiers Destroy Terrorists’ Long Tunnel in Eastern Damascus

Syrian military forces discovered a lengthy tunnel of the terrorists in Eastern Ghouta and destroyed it.

The army gained control over the last major tunnel of the terrorists in al-Qaboun district North-East of Damascus province.

Local sources said that the tunnel was called by the militants as the Nafaq al-Qaboun, adding that it was used for transferring militants and weapons across al-Qaboun and Arbin region.

In the meantime, the Syrian army renewed its rocket attacks on the positions of the militants on the Qaboun front lines East-Northeast of the province.

Also, the Syrian Air Force targeted the militants’ positions in the town of Douma in Eastern Ghouta.

The army’s artillery also shelled the positions of the terrorist groups in Yarmouk Refugee Camp in the Southern outskirts of Damascus city.

Meantime, informed sources in the Southern province of Quneitra reported that the army targeted intensely the movements of the militants in the village of Hamidiya in response to their rocket attacks on residential areas in Baath town.

Relevant reports said on Wednesday that the army soldiers engaged in an intense battle with the terrorists and liberated an important part of Jobar district in the Eastern outskirts of Damascus.

The army troops attacked terrorists’ strongholds in the Northwestern sector of the embattled Jobar and captured some 10 buildings in an advance which seemingly cements the siege of al-Qaboun and Barzeh districts.

In the meantime, the Syrian army warplanes destroyed terrorists’ operating room and communications system in the Jobar neighborhood.

The air force also bombed the militants’ positions in Bir al-Qassab East of the capital, killing a military commander of the terrorists called Adnan al-Khuli.

A military source in Eastern Ghouta reported that the army is advancing towards Tura River in Jobar and is spreading its control over 4 important building blocks that were used to be occupied by the terrorists, killing and injuring a number of the militants that were mostly from the Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board).
