Takfiri threats to boomerang on backers: Leader of Ummah Imam Khamenei

Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei has warned that the threats posed by the Takfiri groups will eventually backfire on their regional supporters.

“Unfortunately, some regional countries are not aware of the danger that these Takfiri groups will pose to them in the future and continue supporting these groups,” said Supreme Leader in a meeting with visiting Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al Sabah in Tehran on Monday.

Some regional states are currently backing the crimes and carnage perpetrated by the Takfiri groups in Syria and elsewhere, said Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei, adding, “but in the not-too-distant future, these groups will turn against their very supporters, which will, at last, have to destroy the groups at a very high cost.”

Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei further stated that the Islamic Republic has always sought “healthy relations” with its Persian Gulf littoral neighbors, adding, “The security of this region is contingent upon healthy and good ties among all regional states.”

The Supreme Leader also said the ground is prepared for the expansion of economic relations between Iran and Kuwait, adding, “A new chapter should be opened in Iran-Kuwait economic ties.”
