Taking Iranian channels off air indicates West's false claim of liberalism
Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Ezzatollah Zarghami said Friday that taking Iranian satellite channels off air by the West was a clear example of its false claims of believing in liberalism.

Zarghami made the remarks in a gathering held in the northern provincial city of Lahijan, west of the provincial capital city of Rasht.

Since the triumph of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 1979, the US was striving to prevent the spread of the message of the revolution and its anti-hegemonic ideas wordwide by making various plots, he said.

As for the efforts made by the US President Barak Obama to reduce Iran’s influence in the Latin America region, the IRIB head said, while the region was called the US backyard in the past decades, presently, its people have become acquainted with the awakening message of the Islamic Revolution.

Referring to the enemies plan to sow discord among Muslims, Zarghami stressed unity among the Shiite and Sunni Muslims would defeat their main enemy, the illegitimate Zionist regime.
