Taliban insurgents kill female aid worker in Afghan

A female aid worker was killed by Taliban militants in central Maidan Wardak province of Afghanistan.

Provincial security chief spokesman Gen. Abdul Wali said the body of the non-governmental worker was found hanging from a tree in Chak district.

He stated that the worker was kidnapped by Taliban militants four days ago.

The organization she was working for reportedly provides local residents with food and equipment, with the aim of helping locals create their own workplaces.
