Talk with Iran in “honor” not “sanction” to receive appropriate response: President Rouhani

President Rouhani said in his speech of inauguration: “By the oath I took, I accepted to take the responsibilities of protecting laws and responding to the Iranian’s rights.”

Rouhani stressed that his foreign policy is following “peace and stability in the region” and said: “We are not looking for changes in borders or governments.”
He also rejects “foreigners’ interventions in any countries” and added: “Security of one country cannot be achieved by ruining other countries’ security and leading them into chaos.”
Dr. Rouhani said: “I frankly admit that Iran has never been hostile to any countries”, adding that: “The sanctions have pressured Iranians but the people’s turnout in the election proved they are serious in defending their rights.”
President Rouhani pointed out “Iranians will not surround to the sanctions or war threats.” He added that: “The only way to interact with Iran, is talking on equal condition, gaining the country’s trust, bilateral respects and reducing the hostilities toward Iran.”
