Taliban Says US Military Plane Shot down in Afghanistan, High Ranking Officers On Board

Taliban announced it has shot down a plane carrying US military personnel in Ghazni on Monday.

The group claimed that all personnel on board, including high ranking officers, were killed in the crash, Reuters news agency reported.

While the Pentagon has refused to immediately comment on the incident, anonymous US officials have confirmed to Reuters the loss of a military plane.

“Less than 10 people” were on board, the officials said. However, they denied that the plane was shot down.

“So far, nothing indicates that the aircraft has been shot down,” the agency quoted the officials as saying.
