Tehran Mayor: Iran Prepared to Help Iraq with Urban Management

Tehran’s Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf voiced the Iranian capital city’s preparedness to share experiences with Iraq in urban management.

Speaking at a meeting with Governor of Iraqi Karbala Province Amal al-Din al-Har here in Tehran on Wednesday, Qalibaf lauded the deep relations between Iran and Iraq, and said the relations between the two Muslim neighbors are all-inclusive and cover all aspects.

“Tehran is prepared to share all its knowledge and technical experiences with the citizens of the two (Iraqi) holy cities of Karbala and Najaf so that we could witness all-out progress in these cities.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s experience can be useful for Iraq,” Qalibf underscored.

Al-Har, for his part, thanked Iran for its support for the Iraqi nation, and called on Tehran to share its experience for the reconstruction of the two Iraqi holy cities.

Iran and Iraq have enjoyed growing ties ever since the overthrow of the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, in 2003.

Both sides are working on a series of plans to take wide strides in expanding their ties.
