cf1d7edd242e96f651688b80e8b47538_LTehran’s interim Friday prayers leader, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi, has emphasized that the recently-signed agreement between Iran and the 5+1 Group does not signify any weakness on Iran’s part, rather, the agreement should be seen as a test, and a tactic, for the dignity and greatness of the Islamic world.

According to IRIB World Service, addressing a huge crowd of Friday prayers worshippers and the faithful in Tehran, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi referred to the soon-to-be-implemented interim Geneva agreement between Iran and the 5+1 Group, and the joint plan of action, emphasizing that the resilient Iranian nation has succeeded into turning every threat into a real opportunity after the victory of the Islamic revolution.
Tehran’s interim Friday prayers Leader stressed that the Iranian people are fully supportive of Iran’s team of nuclear negotiators, and emphasized that the Iranian nation has never caved-in to threats and intimidation of any kind. Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi went on to advise Iranian negotiators to be mindful of Iran’s “red lines” in these negotiations and to safeguard the interests of the country.
In further remarks, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi praised the fact that the Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, had paid homage and respect at the graveside of martyred senior Lebanese Hezbollah commander, Emad Moghniyeh. He added: “The Lebanese Islamic resistance movement, which has staunchly resisted the excesses of the usurper Zionist regime, is one of the greatest sources of pride for the world of Islam, and indeed, for the entire humanity”.
Tehran’s interim Friday prayers Leader said Lebanon’s Hezbollah, was the first group which shattered the invincible image of the Zionist regime forever, and showed the world the capabilities of Islamic resistance.
Turning to the horrid crimes committed by the former Zionist regime prime minister, Ariel Sharon, particularly at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in Lebanon, and also the assassination of Lebanese Hezbollah commanders, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi expressed sadness about the fact that Western leaders and politicians had conveyed their condolences following the death of war criminal and mass murderer, Ariel Sharon. He pointedly added: “it is time that the people of the Western world woke up and realized exactly who their political leaders were supporting”.
Turning to Islamic Unity week, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi said the only way of guaranteeing Islamic unity is to emphasize what is common between all Muslims, such as their belief in the one and only God, their belief in the Holy Prophet of Islam, Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny), and their belief in God’s revealed word to mankind – the Holy Quran.
