Terrorist Centers in Aleppo Province Receive Severe Blow in Syrian Armed Forces’ Attacks

The Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units and Air Force targeted a number of positions of the Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in Western, Northern and Southern Aleppo, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The warplanes bombed terrorists’ positions in the town of Anadan in response to the militants’ Grade missile attack on residential areas in the towns of Nubl and al-Zahra, killing a number of terrorists.

In the meantime, the missile and artillery units shelled the positions and movements of the terrorists in the towns of Hayan, Yaqad al-Adas, Kafr Bisin and Babis in the Northern countryside of Aleppo city.

Field sources reported meantime that the artillery units targeted terrorist groups’ concentration centers in the towns of Khalseh and Zeitan in the Southern countryside of Aleppo and in other regions near the settlement of Qabtan al-Jabal in the Western countryside of Aleppo.

Commander of the Kurdish fighters of Jeish al-Thowar said that the Turkish Army’s operation in the villages of al-Shahba’a dam was part of Ankara’s plan to access Idlib and lay siege on Aleppo.

Nouri Abu Hajji said that laying siege on government-controlled Aleppo could be considered as the main objective of the Turkish soldiers and Ankara-backed militants in their operation in al-Shahba’a region’s villages.

He further underlined that his forces would push back the Turkey-backed militants wherever they were.

The Kurdish commander further added that the Turkish soldiers and their allied militants intend to capture the villages of al-Shahba’a region to reach the terrorist-held regions in Idlib and at the end separate the small towns of Nubl and al-Zahra from Aleppo and lay siege on Aleppo city.

He went on to say that large-sale attacks of the terrorists on the villages of al-Shahba’a dam, Um Hawsh Harbel and the rest of region were aimed at accessing regions controlled by Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) “but we would never allow them to advance in the region”.
