Syrian Army soldiers struck the terrorist groups’ concentration centers and gatherings in Eastern and Western Ghouta, inflicting tens of casualties on the militants, a field sources said Tuesday.

“Syrian army men have continued their attacks on militant groups from Tal al-Sawan and have thus far retaken control over several farms and settlements in Eastern Ghouta, but terrorist-planted landmines on their way have slowed down their movement,” the sources said.

“The army soldiers, meantime, have attacked terrorist centers near the town of Hosh al-Salehiyeh and its surrounding areas in al-Marj region in Eastern Ghouta,” the source added.

“In Western Ghouta, the terrorist groups’ gatherings and positions along a road connecting Zakiyeh to Khan al-Sheih camp have come under heavy attack by the Syrian army and popular forces, inflicting major losses on the militants,” the source went on to say.

The Syrian Air Force, for its part, launched a massive bombing campaign on the positions of the terrorist groups in Tal al-Sawan, Hosh Nasri and Hosh al-Fareh in Eastern Ghouta.

Reports said earlier today that Syrian Army troops are engaged in tough battle with Jeish al-Islam terrorists in the Eastern side of the strategic town of al-Reihan in Eastern Ghouta.

“Clashes in al-Reihan started after the Syrian government forces repelled Jeish al-Islam’s offensives in al-Reihan farms, and killed, at least, 10 and wounded 15 other terrorists in a rapid counterattack,” the sources said.

“Syrian army soldiers and popular forces continued to hit Jeish al-Islam terrorist and stormed their strongholds in the town of al-Reihan in a pursuing move,” they added.

“An intense battle is now underway in the Eastern side of al-Reihan,” the sources went on to say.

The sources said the government troops have since kept up the momentum and intensified offensive operations, but there is still no confirmed report indicating that they have entered the town.
