Terrorist rocket attack on Damascus kills 2 civilians

A homegrown rocket fired by the so-called Islamic State in southern Damascus hit a crowded district in Damascus, killing and injuring scores.

The bloody attack comes as thousands of people went out shopping to prepare for the holy month of Ramadan which begins tomorrow.

Panic prevailed as a huge thud rocked Victoria Bridge district, sending huge plumes of smoke into the sky.

According to government sources, 2 civilians were killed, 19 others wounded in the attack.

Meanwhile, battles rage in the southern outskirts of the capital with the Syrian forces advancing into the ISIS-held districts.
