Saudi fighter jets hit residential areas in the Northern Yemeni city of Sana’a on Tuesday, leaving dozens of people dead and injured.

The Saudi warplanes pounded civilian areas in Eastern Sana’a and claimed the lives of large groups of people in their 55th day of aggression against the impoverished country.

On Monday, Sana’a was repeatedly pummeled by Riyadh’s jets two days after a five-day truce expired. Saudi Arabia bombed Yemeni cities over 30 times even during the so-called ceasfire.

Earlier today, Saudi warplanes bombed the Northwestern Yemeni province of Sa’ada, and killed dozens of people and injured many more.

Local reports said the Saudi fighter jets pounded civilian areas in Southern Sa’ada in their raid today, killing a woman and a child.

Saudi Arabia launched its bombing campaign against Yemen on March 26 in an attempt to restore power to fugitive President Mansour Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

According to FNA tallies, the Saudi attacks have so far claimed the lives of at least 3,815 civilians, mostly women and children.
