Terrorists Form New Joint Operation Room to Slow Down Syrian Army Advances in Idlib

Dissident-affiliated websites reported on Sunday that terrorist groups in Idlib have set up yet another Joint Operation Room to counter the Syrian Army’s rapid advances in Southeastern and Eastern Idlib.

The websites said that Ahrar al-Sham, Faylaq al-Sham, Jeish al-Ahrar, Jeish Idlib al-Hor, Jeish al-Izzah, Jeish al-Nasr, Nouralddeen al-Zinki, Jeish al-Nokhba, al-Jeish al- Thani, Liwa al-Arbaeen and al-Ferqa al-Owla Mashah terrorist groups have set up a new Joint Operation Room known as Dahr al-Qazah.

Spokesman for Ahrar al-Sham Omar Khatab said that the main objective behind setting up the Operation Room is preventing the army from advancing in Idlib province.

The terrorist groups had previously set up the two operation rooms of Rad al-Toqyan and En Allaha Ala Narahom al-Qadir in Idlib that both were dismantled after they failed to score any victory.

Abdullah Muhammad al-Muhaysini, the former Saudi commander and Mufti (religious leader) of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) admitted on Friday that the terrorist group suffered heavy defeats in battle with the Syrian Army in Idlib and Aleppo provinces.

Al-Muhaysini confirmed in his twitter account that the Syrian Army inflicted heavy defeats on Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at in Aleppo and Idlib provinces, admitting that the terrorist group was in very bad condition.

Al-Muhaysini said that Tahrir al-Sham’s failures are rooted in differences and tensions among terrorist groups, mainly between Tahrir al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham and the terrorists’ lack of intention in battle against the army.

He further pointed to the failure of a plan to form a Joint Operation Room against the army, saying lack of such Operation Room is behind the collapse of the militants’ front.
