The director of Sayyeda Zainab shrine martyred, Army kills gunmen in Aleppo countryside

A mortar shell fired by gunmen landed in the perimeter of al-Sayyeda Zainab shrine in Damascus countryside.

The shrine’s managing director, Anas Roumani was martyred and others were wounded.

Breaking News Network correspondent said that the mortar shell caused material damage in the area.

Army units killed numbers of militants in Aleppo city and countryside, destroying their concentrations and a den they were using for rigging vehicles with explosives in a farm in Tal Refaat town in Aleppo northern countryside.

Our reporter pointed that an attempt by an armed group to infiltrate from the direction of the electricity company to al-Sheikh Saied area in Aleppo city was thwarted, leaving most of the gunmen killed and injured.

Army units clashed with al-Nusra Front militants at the outskirts of al-Rashideen neighborhood, al-Ashrafieh, al-Sheikh Maksoud and al-Khalidiya, destroying their weapons, ammunition and killing large numbers of them.

The source pointed out that an army unit destroyed insurgents’ concentrations in the area surrounding the Great Umayyad Mosque, al-Masharqa neighborhood, al-Sijn Street and near Abul-Kasem al-Shabi school in al-Sheikh Khodr neighborhood, killing and wounding most of their members.
