Iran beats Japan, US in Istanbul Robocup Competition

Islamic Republic of Iran beats Japan and US in the international Robocup competition held in Istanbul.

Islamic Republic of Iran beats Japan and US in the international Robocup competition held in Istanbul.

In the first soccer match of Iran, MRL team from Qazvin Open University in beat Japanese Hibikino Musashai in middle size robots, seven-nil.

This is while in small size robots soccer match, Iranian team headed for the second round when it beat US Georgia Tech team three-nil.

The achievement is more valued when some parts of these robots are among the items sanctioned by US.

40 teams are representing Islamic Republic of Iran in 14 leagues of this competition.

More than 200 teams from 57 countries are participating in the competition which is held in three steps in different leagues including: Robocup Soccer, Robocup Rescue, Robocup Junior and Robocup@home.
