The Islamic Republic, symbol of independence, freedom and religious popular rule

The Islamic Republic, symbol of independence, freedom and religious popular rule
34 years have passed from the victory of the Islamic revolution of Iran.
The Islamic system was established with full dependence on the Islamic criteria and prudent management of the great architect of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini and the present leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The Islamic Republic of Iran owes its power and might to the awareness and readiness of a nation which has been always been pioneer in freedom and struggle against oppression and colonialism.
Due to the great God-given resources and able human force, the Iranian nation has since old times been coveted by the foreigners and ill-wishers. Therefore, this country has frequently been the target of incursion and pillage of the extremist and expansionist powers and individuals; yet it has often defeated the enemy and continued its path towards advancement. This nation has usually been the pioneer of the liberating movements and campaign against arrogance and injustice. During the years before the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian nation answered the call of the Ulema especially that of Imam Khomeini, overthrew the regime which was supported by the US and the west to go toward the pinnacles of progress.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has turned into a role model for other nations in the region and the farthest parts of the world from Latin America to Africa and Asia.
A review of developments following different revolutions shows that after overthrowing the ruling system and coming to power of new persons, revolutions are deviated from the original path designated by the leaders. This might result in despotism by the very revolutionary forces. Thus, some clashes take place and some of the revolutionary elements rival for coming to power and having more shares in power-distribution. This is usually followed by foreigners’ involvement and they try to fish in troubled water and lead the developments towards the direction of their vested interests. This is been the fate of most of the revolutions throughout history; so the independence of the countries have usually undermined.
A glance at the developments of North Africa and Middle East shows that certain elements are trying their best to distort the aims of the revolution and misguide it in a way to fit the wishes of the western powers.
But the Islamic Revolution has had a quite different story. One and a half year after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran was invaded by Saddam; yet under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini (God’s mercy upon his soul) and the vigilance of the Iranian nation, not only the justice-seeking and liberating goals of the nation were not forgotten but big strides were taken in the direction of gaining access to the lofty aims of the revolution manifested by the socio-economic progress.
While the westerners blatantly claim to defend and spread democracy, what is seen in the region is oppression and bloodshed by the dictatorial regimes.
The Islamic revolution ushered in a new phase of popular rule or what is called democracy in the west. For the past 34 years, Iranians have gone to the ballot boxes almost every year to elect the representatives of the city council, the members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis), members of the Assembly of Experts and the president. No country has had such a democratic record.
The legitimacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is neither based on force and despotism of a certain group or class of people nor on the assets and deceits of political parties and groups.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has owes its power and kudos from the constant presence of people on the scene and its survival is also based on the establishment of the popular religious rule.
