The Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that Holy Quran has brought unity and dignity for Islamic Ummah and that regional uprisings stem from teachings of Islam and Holy Quran.
According to the Supreme Leader’s Office, Imam Khamenei made the remark in a meeting with a group of reciters of Holy Quran taking part in the 28th International Holy Quran Competition in Tehran, on Tuesday.

The iternational Holy Quran competition indicates the high status of the Holy Book among world Muslims and its significant role in maintaining their unity, said the The Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei .

All Muslim nations believe that Holy Quran forges unity and solidarity among them, Supreme Leader said.

Ignoring the lofty teaching of Holy Quran is a major hurdle to establiishment of unity among nations, the Supreme Leader said.

During the reign of the Pahlavi dynasty, the country was totally dependent on the US and Zionists but now all are witnessing that Iran has changed into a forefront of the fight against global arrogance and Zionists, said the Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

What is now taking place in countries such as Egypt is among the promises given by God Almighty in the Holy Quran, said the Supreme Leader.

Elsewhere in his remarks, The Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that Holy Quran provides one with an opportunity to think about everything and advised the youths to learn the Holy Book by heart to have better understanding of its contents.
