The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said a sweeping Islamic movement with Iran at its epicenter will ultimately eliminate the domineering materialistic policies of the arrogant powers.

Speaking to a gathering of thousands of Iranian people from the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan at a meeting in Tehran Wednesday, The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei referred to the developments across the North African states and the Arab world, and noted that the people in these nations are echoing the same slogans as the Iranian nation used to chant under monarchical repression.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Iran, which basically initiated such a widespread Islamic movement in the region and beyond, will continue on its path.

Ayatollah Khamenei further maintained that Islam has reached a turning point in its immense movement forward, which will bring about highly significant changes in the world and terminate the existing hegemonic power structures.

Supreme Leader said that the resistance of the Iranian nation has played a major role in the success and great achievements of the Islamic establishment.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei added that a nation will achieve success in the fields of science and technology, economy, social issues and international policies when it has no fear of the enemy’s pompous approaches.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei emphasized that Iran would turn into a “successful and advanced model” for the Muslim world through the resistance of the Iranian nation, particularly the youth.

The Supreme Leader warned that arrogant powers and their puppets have launched broad propaganda and media against Iran’s parliamentary elections due to be held on March 2.

“Everyone should know that a high turnout of the Iranian people in the elections would lead to the country’s promotion, and raise doubts for the enemy before hatching plots; it will also make the enemy retreat,” The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said.
