The Mother of all Battles begins as Iraqi forces reach Mosul’s Old City

The Mother of all Battles has begun in Mosul as Iraqi forces square up against ISIS.

With the main artery between Mosul and the the major ISIS-held city of Tal Afar cut, the terrorist group are effectively trapped in the city.

The Old City of Mosul is a densely packed area with narrow streets, which will make dislodging ISIS from this Ley area of Mosul difficult and bloody.

The latest reports says that Iraqi forces have penetrated half a kilometer into the area, and have established perimeters and checkpoints to secure the areas liberated.
