The Syrian Army Units Leave Hama after Completing their Mission in Restoring Stability and Security

The Syrian Army units on Wednesday left Hama after they restored security and stability to the city which underwent difficult circumstances over the past period due to the acts of killing, terrorizing and sabotage committed by the armed terrorist groups.

An army officer said in a statement to a delegation of Arab and foreign journalists who visited the governorate on Wednesday that the army moved out of Hama completely going back to its military barracks after it carried out its national mission of restoring security and stability to the city responding to the calls of citizens who were terrorized by the armed groups.

The officer pointed out that the army carried out a qualitative mission in Hama and was very keen on the blood and souls of citizens, noting that the terrorist groups were carrying modern weapons that caused a lot of damage in several areas in the city.
A number of citizens coming back to Hama, who fled their city in fear of the armed groups and the sabotage acts they committed, expressed their happiness over their return, applauding the role of the army which helped them come back safe and secure.

Iyman Skheiteh, who left Hama ten days ago, described the previous days before leaving her city as “scary” during which the gunmen imposed a climate of terror and panic that were dispelled after security was restored to the city by the army.

Army Units Retrieve Weapons, Communication Sets and Money Stolen by Terrorist Groups in Hama

An official source told SANA correspondent in Hama that the army units succeeded in retrieving amounts of weapons and wireless communication sets which were seized by the armed terrorist groups in their attacks on security detachments and police stations in the city.

Large amounts of money stolen from the Agricultural Bank in Souran city by the terrorist groups were also retrieved.
The source said that the army units were able to get back the stolen equipment and money through a quick pursuit and arrest operation of a number of the members of the armed terrorist groups in Souran, who fled the city of Hama after they ravaged it and centered in the neighboring villages of Souran, Halfaiya, Teibat al-Imam and Aqrab.

72 Journalists and Reports from Arab and Foreign Mass Media Visit Hama

A press delegation including 72 journalists, reporters and photographers representing 37 mass media organizations including ones from France and the U.S. paid a visit to Hama to witness the reality of the situation there and the methodical vandalism and crimes committed by armed terrorist groups against civilians, law-enforcement, general establishments and police stations.

The delegation toured Hama and documented the acts of sabotage and arson against private property, photographing the state departments and establishments that were vandalized, pillaged and burned along with police stations.
Reporters conducted interviews with the locals, including those who returned to Hama after being chased out by the armed terrorist groups, listening to detailed explanations about the acts of assault, murder and bloodthirsty brutality committed against them.

The director of Xinhua’s office in Damascus said that what they witnessed during their visit affirms the existence of armed groups and that they committed inhumane crimes and wide scale vandalism in the city, noting that the army played a vital role in restoring security and stability to the city.

In turn, reporter from al-Alam channel Hussein Murtada said that the situation in Hama is very distant from what some mass media is promoting, noting that there is no trace of military bombardment with heavy weapons which contradicts what some mass media sources say, adding that he saw Bilal al-Habashi mosque which some channels claimed was destroyed with his own eyes, and that the mosque didn’t receive any damage, not even by light firearms, which indicates the existence of fabrication by these channels.

In turn, reporter of Iranian TV Issam al-Hilali said that what they witnessed shows that there is a conspiracy against Syria, adding that the Syrian people realized this and is fully capable of foiling it.

A number of journalists participating in the delegation affirmed that they will present detailed and documented reports to the organizations they work about what they saw in Hama.

In a statement to the journalists, Governor of Hama Anas Abdelrazzaq al-Naem said that normal life is returning gradually to the city as families return to it after fleeing due to the acts of murder and terrorism committed by armed groups.

He affirmed that the city will regain its normal activity within the next two days, adding that food is available and that work is underway to remove the roadblocks built by the armed groups.

For his part, Antanius Ziyadeh from the Storage and Marketing Establishment said that they began selling consumer and food products at cost three days ago across the city using vehicles, noting that 5 out of 8 facilities belonging to the Establishment were pillaged by the armed groups.

Military Source: Army Units Leave Idleb After Restoring Security and Stability

The Syrian Arab Army units left on Wednesday the city of Idleb and its countryside, having fulfilled the mission of ridding the city of the armed terrorist groups who attacked citizens, wreaked havoc and vandalized public and private properties.

A military source said in a statement to a delegation of Arab and foreign journalists who visited the province on Wednesday that the army units entered responding to the calls of the citizens to bring back security and stability, adding that the army units were careful to save the lives of the citizens.

The source said that the army units went back to their military barracks after they carried out their national mission.

Families of Hama city on Wednesday narrated stories about the aggressions of the armed terrorist groups who perpetrated acts of sabotage, killings, looting and kidnapping during the latest period.

“A group of armed men attacked the Officers’ Club in order to steal the weapons inside…we have tried to interfere in order to get the soldiers out of the Club, but we couldn’t because the terrorists set fire to the Club, killed a number of soldiers, kidnapped others and we didn’t know their destiny,” on citizen of Hama said in a speech to the Syrian TV.

Another citizen said the Officers’ club includes a restaurant and a hotel; it is not a military post… so the purpose of the terrorists was to kill the soldiers inside.

He added that the number of terrorists who have attacked the Club was nearly 100, adding “they were carrying different kinds of weapons and explosives.
