Third Phase of Mosul Operation Starts: Popular Mobilization Forces

Volunteer force fighting alongside Iraqi army announced on Monday the start of the third phase of operation to liberate west of Mosul from Takkfiri ISIL group.

In a statement, the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced the move, calling on residents in the occupied areas to support the volunteer fighters, cooperate with them and facilitate their work.

The main goal of this phase of the operation is to control the airport in Tal Afar in a bid to pave the way for storming the city’s center and liberate the entire town, PMF spokesman Ahmad al-Assadi said in the statement.
