Top Commander: Iran’s Deterrence Power Prevents Enemies’ Military Aggression

“The Armed Forces’ deterrence power can respond to enemies’ plans and plots and thanks God, today this deterrence exists at a proper and desirable level and therefore, the enemy has concluded that launching an attack against Iran is not possible,” General Baqeri said, addressing the Iranian army commanders in Tehran on Tuesday.

“They (the enemies) know that they will be harmed a lot by launching war against the Islamic Iran,” he added.

General Baqeri, meantime, underscored the necessity for the Iranian Armed Forces to keep vigilant given the sensitive conditions in the region.

In relevant remarks on Friday, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh underlined that the country’s Armed Forces are fully prepared to defend the country, and said that if the enemy dares to attack the Islamic Republic, it will face Tehran’s rigid reaction.

“IRGC is quite prepared to defend Iran and the Islamic Revolution,” Brigadier General Hajizadeh said.

He underlined that the enemy was after thwarting Iran’s progress through supporting and strengthening terrorist groups by presenting a distorted and detestable image of Islam to the world.

Also, in June, General Hajizadeh warned enemies to avoid hostile moves against the country or wait for Tehran’s crushing response.

“We do not make an aggression against any country but if any country wants to make an aggression against the nation, it will certainly face our strong and crushing response,” General Hajizadeh said.

He referred to Iran’s last June missile attacks against the terrorists’ positions in Syria, and underscored that the country’s warnings to retaliate hostile moves is not a “political bluff” and the entire world witnessed Iran’s response to the ISIL terrorist attacks in Tehran.
