Top Iranian Commander: Military forces do not follow diplomacy

Commander-in-chief of Iranian Army has emphasized on self-sufficiency and indigenous technology in army’s readiness.
During the opening ceremony of Iranian Navy plans and projects in Bushehr on Saturday morning, Commander-in-chief of Iranian Army Major General Ataollah Salehi highlighted that the approach of Military was not necessarily connected to foreign policy and diplomacy.

Pointing to Bushehr glorious history of resistance and resilience against colonialism and imperialism, Maj. Gen. Ataollah Salehi said Raeisali Delvari, Bushehri independence activist who fought against British colonialism, stood up well against adversaries, and “so do all people living on this land.”

Stating that resilience against the invaders has been passed down through generations, Salehi emphasized that Islamic Republic of Iran Navy had powerful presence in the region.

He criticized the current presence of outsiders in the region and blamed it on regional countries who relied on western powers.

Salehi stressed that enemies of the country would never dare to approach Iranian territories and referred o Iran’s Leader speech among Navy commanders in late November who hailed the forces and called for improvement and presence of naval forces in international waters.

Chief Commander of Iranian Army underlined efforts to increase the army’s achievements and acknowledged that national dignity is considered as an honor for the military.
