Turkey’s interference in Iraq, endangers regional security

A high-ranking Iranian MP, Mohammad Jokaar, has noted that Turkey’s meddlesome policies in Iraq’s affairs threaten regional security and stability.

According to IRIB World Service, this Iranian lawmaker noted that the recent remarks of Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davoutoglu, about the differences of opinion between the Iraqi Premier, Nouri Al-Maleki, and a number of Iraqi officials is a clear interference in Iraq’s affairs.
This Iranian legislator underlined that Turkey’s failure to stir crisis in Syria and to topple the Syrian President, Bashar Assad, has led the Turkish officials to focus on Iraq in a bid to cause sectarian strife in Iraq with the collaboration of a number of regional states.
The Iranian lawmaker mentioned Iran’s amicable ties with all ethnicities in Iraq, while adding that Islamic Republic of Iran should prevent crisis in Iraq and the disintegration of this Arab country via supporting for, and closing ranks between different ethnicities in Iraq.
