Turkish Interference Policy Part of Imperialist Plots to Destabilize Region

20130513-184537_h482013The World Peace Council stressed that it is clear that the Turkish political and military interference policies, particularly the deployment of NATO patriot missiles in the region, are in fact a part of imperialist plots aimed at destabilizing the region.

In a statement, the Council called on the government of Erdogan not to exploit the bombings which rocked al-Rihaniya city as a pretext for a declared attack against Syria.

The Council pointed out that tragic bombings of al-Rihaniya reminds the world of the daily suffering of the Syrian people because of the terrorist attacks perpetrated by the armed groups which infiltrate into Syria from the neighboring countries, particularly al-Rihaniya city.

The Council stressed that the feelings of amity and peace are overwhelming the majority of the Turkish people, expressing solidarity with the ongoing demonstrations in more than 10 Turkish cities which are calling for peace and ending interference in Syria.
