Thousands of the Turkish people staged protest rallies against US Secretary of State John Kerry’s recent visit to their country.

The people in massive protests in Istanbul showed their opposition to Kerry’s visit to the capital city of Ankara, Turkish HebarX news website reported.

The protesters carried placards which read “Kerry Must Exit Turkey” in a bid to demonstrate their anger at Kerry’s visit.

Protesters rushed towards Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davoutoglu to show him their anger, but the security forces blocked their way.

Police shot tear gas to disperse the protesters and prevented them from reading out their final statement.
